We are on the lookout for a dynamic and motivated Junior Project and Research Assistant to support our diverse range of projects and consultancy services. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about sustainability, with a keen interest in the coffee sector and in the potential of digital solutions for agriculture.

What will be your role

As a Junior Project & Research Assistant at DCF, you will play a pivotal role in collecting, systematizing, and analyzing information across our projects and consultancy assignments. Additionally, your efforts will contribute to our monitoring and evaluation of programs, the writing of grant applications and consulting assignments, and the systematization of our digital tool inventory system for coffee, contributing to our initiatives' success and impact.

Key responsibilities:

  • Systematize information on DCF's projects and programs within a structured collection system for ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

  • Support research for consultancy assignments, including literature review, industry reports analysis and qualitative tool development for interviews.

  • Assist in developing and writing proposals for grant applications and consulting assignments, as well as for report development.

  • Actively engage with coffee organizations to understand their needs, challenges, and goals. This may involve organizing meetings, and collecting qualitative and quantitative data to analyze trends and identify new potential initiatives and engagement strategies.  

  • Maintain and update the digital tools inventory system, ensuring its functionality and relevance.

  • Stay up-to-date on digital trends, tools, and best practices. Engage in continuous learning to enhance your skills and contribute more effectively to DCF's goals.

  • You are keen on working fully remotely with digital tools provided by the company (Slack, Clickup)

  • You have exceptional writing skills for clear and impactful communication that are essential for the development of successful grant and consulting proposals.

  • You have strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with a detail-oriented approach to information assessment and compilation. These are key to supporting the monitoring and evaluation of DCF’s program achievements and overall impact.

  • You are passionate about sustainability and the coffee sector, with a deep understanding of tropical agriculture. Familiarity with agritech and digitalization is advantageous.

  • You are proficient in English and Spanish.
